The Bioneers Vice President for Advancement is an executive leadership position with core responsibility for generating income through management of diverse fundraising revenue streams, in collaboration with the Executive Team (ET), which includes: Founders (CEO and President), Executive Director (ED), Chief Operating & Outreach Officer (COOO), AND VP of Finance.
Among the specific tasks are engaging in the solicitation and stewardship of individual, foundation and business philanthropic donors, as well as managing the stewardship of sponsors. The VP for Advancement directs and manages the advancement and sponsorship staff. It is expected that s/he will sustain the existing donor base and increase new revenue sourced from a composition of new donors and the moves management of existing major donors. S/he will specifically identify, solicit and cultivate major donor prospects.
Must have strong familiarity with issues of importance to Global Citizens, and preferably contacts with organizations and funding sources related to Environmental and Social Justice fields. Experience and familiarity with Women’s Leadership and Gender Justice Issues, a plus. Passion for the mission of Bioneers essential.
Five years minimum professional front-line experience in successful non-profit fundraising – preferably for mid-size organization(s) with a minimum annual operating budget of $2 – $3m+
