The Youth Program has designed a dynamic line up for the 2012 Bioneers Conference that features a wide array of opportunities for youth attendees to learn, connect and take valuable tools back home. Youth focused sessions will include meeting the Brower Youth Award winners, a poetry slam, green jobs conversations, a collective art mural, an interactive session on eco-apartheid, and much more. Bioneers is strongly committed to fostering community resilience – and empowering young conference attendees with tools to translate their informed inspiration into action.
Youth Program Scholarships
Bioneers is dedicated to making the conference as financially accessible as possible to youth who want to be involved. We prioritize this value and our youth attendees by offering a limited number of need-based scholarships to cover the cost of conference registration. These scholarships are designed to lower cost barriers, promote cultural diversity and facilitate a space where youth can gain multiple perspectives from their peers.
Youth Scholarship Guidelines and Limitations
Bioneers provides a limited number of scholarships for Youth aged 14-23 and young educators aged under 30. These cover the cost of attendance and do not include travel or lodging – we hope to be able to provide lunch to our scholarship recipients each day. Youth can apply as a single individual or as part of a group. Youth Groups require one adult chaperone for every five youth attending.

- Individual Youth are required to provide a Letter of Recommendation as well as a Youth Essay.
- Youth Educators are required to provide proof of employment, as well as a Youth Essay.
- Group Leaders are required to provide a Letter of Intent and submit the Youth Essay of each of the youth they are bringing.
