About the Trainings
Five-day forums for emerging women leaders
Cultivating Women’s Leadership Trainings are 5-day forums designed for women of "significant capacity" who are deeply committed to progressive social and environmental change. CWL defines significant capacity in diverse terms, including women’s inherent talents and skills, positions of influence, vision and passion, as well as their resources, both economic and social.
Participants have reported lasting and life-changing impacts from the trainings, including many who have had extensive prior leadership experience. The experiential curriculum serves to inform the development of learning, tools and practices.
Goals are to:
- Increase each woman’s clarity about her own purpose;
- Develop greater skills to bridge differences;
- Identify and release self-limiting stories of internalized oppression;
- Introduce women to a personal leadership framework of continuous reflective cultivation and composting;
- Surface a new understanding of what leadership from the ‘feminine’ means, integrating a healthy balance of our human gender-related resources,
- Offer women an experience of women’s authentic mutual reflection, leadership cultivation and desire for each others’ greatest success, and
- Connect women in relationships and networks for ongoing alliances of support.
