2012 Cultivating Women's Leadership
Cultivating Women’s Leadership brings together women of diverse cultures, ages and backgrounds to learn from and with each other.
NINA SIMONS is a social entrepreneur and co-founder of Bioneers. She translates her life experience into tools for serving the emerging leadership of others, and has focused increasingly on programming, writing and teaching about women’s leadership since 1997. She helps to reveal the correlations between inner awareness and outer action, and celebrates the interconnectedness of environment, health, social justice and the sacred.
TOBY HERZLICH is a facilitator and Rockwood Leadership trainer, focusing on assisting groups and individuals dedicated to building community assets and catalyzing progressive social and environmental change. She is on the faculty of several national training programs and has supported women to be effective and heartfelt leaders in the Middle East, Bosnia, the US and Canada.
SARAH CROWELL has taught dance, theater and violence prevention to youth and adults for over 20 years. She currently serves as Artistic Director at Destiny Arts Center. Sarah received 9 California Arts Council grants and a National Endowment for the Arts grant. She is the recipient of the KPFA Peace Award and the Purple Moon Dream Speakers Award. Sarah has spoken and facilitated workshops at numerous national conferences since 2000.

Ocamora Retreat Center – An elegant adobe ranch compound nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, hours northeast of Santa Fe. Participants will enjoy organically grown and lovingly prepared food. Lodging is private, shared, or dorm spaces, or guests can bring their own tents for camping.

TUITION, LODGING & MEALS FOR EACH INTENSIVE
$1450 (includes tuition, lodging and meals).
We aim to attract a diverse circle of women with no barriers related to ability to pay. If you are interested in attending but the cost is an obstacle, contact us about strategies to help you cover the expense. Many women have fundraised their tuition by working with their communities, and some limited scholarship support is available. This fee does not ref!ect our actual cost to deliver this training. We underwrite the costs with contributions from people like you, and we gratefully accept donations year 'round to our CWL scholarship fund.
