Deborah Koons Garcia

Deborah Koons Garcia is a documentary filmmaker. Her film The Future of Food has won numerous awards (including being chosen by the Oscar Screening Committee as one of the best documentaries of 2004) and been shown all over the world. Garcia's other film credits include Grateful Dawg, a documentary featuring her late husband, Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. She is now working on Symphony of the Soil, a film about soil and fertility. Her short film Soil in Good Heart will be shown at this year's Moving Image Festival.
