Ann Armbrecht

Ann Armbrecht, Ph.D., is a writer, anthropologist, filmmaker, and herbalist specializing in the relationship between culture and the environment. She has conducted research in Nepal and the western U.S. and has taught at Dartmouth, Middlebury, and Goddard colleges. She is the author of Thin Places: A Pilgrimage Home, a spiritual memoir based on her experiences in Nepal which received a Gold Nautilus Award for "books that will change the world."
