Andrew Kimbrell, an attorney, author and activist, is executive director of the Washington D.C. based Center for Food Safety and its parent organization, the International Center for Technology Assessment. For over twenty years he has been at the forefront of efforts to protect the environment and promote sustainable agriculture. He has written, co-written and edited several classic books, including: Fatal Harvest: The Tragedy of Industrial Agriculture, and, most recently: Your Right to Know: Genetic Engineering and the Secret Changes in Your Food. He has spoken widely in the media, written extensively in major newspapers and magazines, lectured at dozens of universities and testified at numerous congressional and regulatory hearings. In 2007 the Guardian named him one of the" 50 People Most Likely to Save the Earth."
