Jorge Ishizawa, a Lima, Peru-based systems engineer, has devoted his professional career to diverse aspects of socio-economic planning both in Peru in public administration and in international organizations. Since 1996, he has been a member of the Proyecto Andino de Tecnologias Campesinas (PRATEC), an NGO whose mission is the cultural affirmation of Andean and Amazonian communities' knowledge and traditions.
