Tom Fookes (DPhil, Dip TP, CertEkistics) is a commissioner in the New Zealand Environment Court and an associate professor in the School of Architecture and Planning, University of Auckland. A member of the New Zealand Planning Institute® for 35 years, Tom was a principal policy analyst in the NZ Ministry for the Environment (1987-93) and worked on key policy and initial implementation for the NZ Resource Management Act 1991. He is a member of the World Society for Ekistics (Greece), and a long-time adviser to the Resource Renewal Institute (USA).
