Michael Pollan, currently the Knight Professor of Journalism at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism and director of the Knight Program in Science and Environmental Journalism, has been writing about where the human and natural worlds intersect for over 20 years. His books include the award-winning, bestselling The Botany of Desire: A Plant's-Eye View of the World; and most recently The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals. A contributing writer to the New York Times Magazine since 1987, he has received numerous awards, and his articles have appeared in many publications, including Harper's, Mother Jones and House & Garden.
