The infinity symbol on the Bioneer t-shirt reminds me of the Métis flag.  It is the oldest Canadian flag of North American origin.  The Métis serve as an important symbol for many different backgrounds coming together as one people.  We think of Métis as mixed blood people (Native American and European).  A Méti friend told me that many white Canadians employed by the North West Company associated with the Métis and participated in the Red River Rebellion.  After the uprising failed, the whites aligned with the Canadian government and those of mixed blood continued to fight English rule of what is now Canada.
