“Rockwood trainings are brilliantly designed and executed – a profound combination of strategy and insight. I feel a greatly enhanced level of human-ness and intimacy in connection with my colleagues, and I know that this work will serve to propel our shared concerns toward more rapid change in the world.”

An Invitation to Women Leaders to the Art of Leadership for Women in Racial Justice and Human Rights
Nov 27-Dec 1
Westerbeke Ranch,
Sonoma CA
The Rockwood Leadership Program promotes social change through delivering expert tools in organizational leadership and collaboration to progressive non-profits.
Rockwood’s ART OF LEADERSHIP is an invitation to join a select community of social change leaders in creating and sustaining compelling visions for their organizations while dealing more effectively with organizational challenges.
THE PROGRAM:
This five-day intensive seminar for women leaders in racial justice and human rights is designed to teach powerful visioning, listening, speaking, presentation, coaching, team-building, and feedback skills to emerging and established leaders.
THE TRAINERS:
Akaya Windwood, Rockwood’s Director of Leadership Development, is an executive leadership coach and organizational consultant with more than 30 years experience working for social justice. Akaya is founder and President of in common, a multicultural consultation firm, and co-founder of the Women’s National Leadership Project. She has consulted to organizations such as the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, Planned Parenthood, Chinatown Community Development Corporation, Gay Straight Alliance and the Women’s Foundation of California.
COST:
Rockwood believes leadership can and should reflect the diverse communities in which we live and work. Reflecting our commitment, and thanks to the generous support of the foundations and donors who support us, we underwrite up to 75% of the cost of trainings for leaders whose organizations have limited resources. The sliding scale cost for this training is $500 to $2000, based on your organization’s annual budget. There will be a separate room and board fee of $500 to cover the full five-day training.
