Respected professionals in science, technology, and policy will gather at the University of Michigan Biological Station (UMBS) in Pellston, MI to discuss the Challenges of Climate Change in the Great Lakes Region.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Joyce E. Penner, a leading contributor to the Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to the United Nations and Dr. Rosina Bierbaum, of the University of Michigan, previously the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
Teachers who participate in the summit are eligible for two Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The meeting fee is $15 (before July 13); $40 (after July 13). Food and housing packages are available at this beautiful station on Douglas Lake in Northern Michigan (near Mackinaw).
