My name is Keith, and I have an amazing gift to ask of you. My daughter was recently diagnosed with a rare heart condition, and I need to get this information to as many people as possible to assist us in providing whatever resources are available throughout this beautiful network of beings. I am an ambassador, and love this amazing community, I figured that you would be the best to talk to about getting the word out and distributing it to as many people as you can. Below is the letter I have sent to friends and family, I am open to taking out whatever photos you need if necessary. Aloha, Hello all friends and family, I know this finds you in great spirits. I am writing to ask for your love and support for our beautiful daughter Aleia. On Friday the 24th of this month we took Aleia to the hospital with difficulty breathing. After six hours in Kona and everyone at a loss with the cause, we were transported immediately to Kapiolani Childrens hospital in Oahu due a rare heart condition called transposition of the great arteries. Basically her aorta and pulmonary artery are transposed. This means once the patent ductus valve(which naturally occurs in utero and closes at birth) just began to close which causes unoxygenated blood to be sent throughout her body. She suffered a great amount of trauma with multiple IV sites and lack of oxygen many of her organs began to shut down and she was placed on ventilators and multiple medications to support her systems. She is currently on dialysis cleaning her blood and suppo rting her liver and kidneys. It is now Tuesday the 28th, and it seems we are starting to make some progress. The doctors have advised that as soon as we see some stability in her systems, that we transport to San Diego to facillitate the procedure to correct the arterial transposition. This is an open heart surgery that is done quite often at this facility in California. We have some more ground to cover and know it is coming. I am writing to you all to ask for your assistance in any way that you have to offer. We appreciate you loving prayers, good thoughts love, and physical resources that you may have available. We are currently staying bedside at the hospital, and will be here for an indefinite period of time. We are looking for any connections that you may have here in Oahu. Transportaion, money, place to stay healers for us and Aleia as well as moral support. It is likely that we may need to find a short term apartment or house to use as a sanctuary away from the hospital. We just today found a health food store to support our nutrtious needs thank goodness! So if any of you know someone with a vehicle to loan or a place to stay or an abundance of finances that you are able to contribute, please let us know. Thank you all for your support we love you all and know we will all gather around soon to celebrate Aleia's beautiful recovery.
