I just got back from attending one of the beaming Bioneers conference in Detroit MI and my heart is filled with yes, HOPE and gratitude. Anyway, I picked up my mail and found a catalog printed in glossy paper that wasn't recycled. Armed with the information about how the Canadian Boreal forest is being clearcut to produce these cataloges I immediately picked up the phone called the company and had our address taken off the list. In hind sight I really should have explained to the person on the other line about why. I wonder how many Bioneers are receiving these catalogs? Anyway, the conference made me not delay one moment to make that call and it was done in less that 30 seconds.
Just one more thing with all the urges from the presenters about how the social justice movement and the environmental movement need to join forces I got to thinking that maybe Bioneers could make it possible to access on this website every single presenter for FREE. I believe this would actually lead to more sales of the DVD's and CD's in the long run. I have so many people that I would like to share those presentions with but alas eventhough they are offered relatively inexpensive they are still too much for many of us. The wisdom put forth this weekend needs to be accessible for all.
Anyway, thank you to everyone who makes Bioneers possible.

Wow, do I agree with you. I just ask all the universities to stop, Sierra Trading Post, Chicos, and especially the political advertising... how can we stop that paper. I'd love to get a newspaper without about half the stuff in it, which I never read anyway and across the US much of it ends up in the landfills.
I think the Bioneers want to "maximize" the income from the CD/DVD sales so they price them very high. Ironically, if they cut the prices by 80%, they would probably make more income since the sales volume would go up so much (learn sumthin' from Wal-Mart, ha, ha).
