I have struggled for years to promote preservation of captive genetics and hydrogen fuel cells. I am glad to see a lot of activity and progress on the hydrogen matter. I am still not seeing much action on the preservation of captive genetic stocks. My problems after a few years as an importer of wildlife (trying the become one of them to make a difference route) is that the records of the species names and collection points are often hidden by the importers. Next the private breeders hide the importer source, and the F1, F2 generations are near to imposible to link back to the natural blood line. Of course this leads to the scientific comunity saying captive species will never be used for repopulation of stressed areas. Seeing that we dont have to doubt the loss of species, who among your readers are on the same path to preserve import records, quarentine animals from others so they are not infected with viruses and the such, and finally do we need a new "Micro Zoological Asociation" to coordinate all that?
