The groundbreaking Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) directed by Tom Linzey and Mari Margil invited Kenny to join its new Advisory Board.
Says Kenny, “I am sincerely honored to join the CELDF Advisory Board because I believe they’re doing some of the most fundamentally important work in the world. I first became interested in the issue of corporate personhood and 'rights' after meeting Richard Grossman in the early ‘90s and having him speak several times at Bioneers.
"I attended the first of what became the Democracy Schools in 1995, and the scales fell from my eyes. I actually did a couple more Democracy Schools with Tom and his team, and kept learning more incredibly valuable insights.
“Unless we face the rhinoceros in the room of corporate power, the same 'crises' will continue to recur endlessly. As Richard so simply and elegantly framed the original question, 'Who’s in charge?' In a democracy, it’s 'we the people.' We need to make that a reality, and I want to support CELDF however I can in their unique and uniquely powerful initiatives.”
