Something remarkable is happening in Spokane, Washington. Informed by the Democracy School movement (and Bioneers), a broad-based grassroots coalition called Envision Spokane is working to bring local empowerment, more social justice and sustainable economic initiatives into law with a new City Charter embedding the rights of nature and community rights over corporate rights.
