Envisioning the Spokane Revolution

Something remarkable is happening in Spokane, Washington. Informed by the Democracy School movement (and Bioneers), a broad-based grassroots coalition called Envision Spokane is working to bring local empowerment, more social justice and sustainable economic initiatives into law with a new City Charter embedding the rights of nature and community rights over corporate rights. With: Jim Sheehan, Spokane civic leader, public-interest attorney and founder of the Center for Justice; Thomas Linzey, co-founder and executive director for the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF); Breean Beggs, Center for Justice; Jennifer M. Hall, executive director, Main Market; and Dave Sanders, Envision Spokane community coordinator.
