Convened by: the Movement Generation Justice and Ecology Project.

A broad spectrum of local racial, economic and environmental justice organizers has been exploring how to “green” the struggle against poverty and structural oppression while building a coherent front to demand equity in government and “green jobs” programs. Panelists will share examples of successful cross-issue, cross-community partnerships.

With: Dana Ginn Paredes, organizing director of Asian Communities for Reproductive Justice; Alicia Schwartz, organizer with People Organizing to Win Employment Rights; Mimi Ho, program director of Asian Pacific Environment Network; and Nile Malloy, program director of Communities for a Better Environment.
