Blackstone Ranch Institute Presents
From Convening to Coordinated Action: The Path to Transformational Change
SATURDAY AFTERNOON SESSION: October 17, 2009
4:30pm – 6:00pm

Environmental and social problems require transformational solutions, but the only thing harder than planning for transformation is actually achieving it. This don’t-miss session on movement building will present real-world examples of practices that have proven effective at producing such change across cultures and at a large scale, and will provide pointers on how to move our movements, organizations, coalitions and networks from shared intention, through coordinated action to real-world results.
Hosted by: John Richardson, executive director of Blackstone Ranch Institute.
With: Ron Hubert, director of the Sustainable Cities Program at the Center for Sustainable Environments at the University of Northern Arizona; and Scott Spann, founder and strategist for Innate Strategies who helped develop the successful RE-AMP strategy.
Location: B12
Topic Areas: Social/Environmental Activism; Ecological Design
