Inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall, Dr. Jay Vavra and his students from High Tech High in San Diego lived with 3 different Tanzanian tribes and interviewed key anti-poaching and wildlife officials who share their concerns in an attempt to curb illegal wildlife trade in Africa. This professionally produced ½ hour film gives everyone hope for the future while demonstrating an empowering out-of-the-box approach to education.

Vida Verde is a nonprofit that promotes educational equity by providing free overnight learning experiences for students who don’t otherwise get the opportunity.

Special Guests: Shawn Sears, Co-Founder, Executive Director and Instructor, Vida Verde; Laura Sears, Co-Founder and Director of Development at Vida Verde; and Tim Ward, Program Director and Grants Manager, Vida Verde.
