Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time was shown at the San Francisco Public Library. Watch the extensive Q&A facilitated by Jon Christenson (journalist and Exec. Director, Bill Lane Center for the American West, Stanford University) with Stephen Most (screenwriter), Joe Stringer (Director of Ecosystem Planning, U.S. Forest Service), and Ernesto Pepito (Senior Youth Leadership Specialist, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy).
At the San Francisco Park Branch Public Library, veteran television writer and producer Carol Black presented her documentary Schooling the World. Watch the post screening discussion with Bioneers Education for Action Program Manager Shana Rappaport.
Ben Evans, star and director of YERT presented the west coast premiere at the Roxie Theatre.
Watch Ilarion “Larry” Merculieff answer questions after The Last Mountain regarding his acquaintance with the film’s subject Robert Kennedy, Jr. and related issues brought up in the film. He was joined by New Environmentalist filmmaker John Antonelli. The screening was hosted by author, actor, and activist Reid Martin Basso.

Miss Representation, one of the hits at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, played to a packed house. Watch this panel of experts lead by the film’s production assistant Babette Hogan with Debbie Brubaker, Line Producer of the film and San Francisco Film Commissioner, Whitney Smith, CEO and Founder of Girls for a Change, and Imran Siddiquee from the Miss Representation Action Campaign.

Judith Helfand invited attendees of the conference to a privileged screening of one of the first iterations of her work-in-progress film Cooked.
